The Voice WithinYou
old timers, and those of you who spent too much time reading my site, know that
I have a soft spot for a controversial young woman with a phenomenal voice. In
1998, she sang a song about not being true to yourself. It is called Reflection.
Interestingly, she has since struggled to become more of what she truly is and
less of what others want her to be. After
what seems like a lifetime, she released a new CD. Being a very faithful guy, I
bought it - sound unheard. No surprise that these past years have led her closer
to herself. Her new CD includes a song called “The Voice Within”, which
deals with being alone, worlds falling apart, and where the path lies through
all this. The
message of these two songs combined is probably more powerful than anything I
could ever type, no matter how hard I tried. Moreover, it is so similar to what
I have said and written that one must believe that truth is larger than any one
person. I will say that I believe these things to be true, and I have found them
to be so in my own life through hard work and a desire to find who I am. Here
are some excerpted lyrics. The full lyrics can be found online at: http://www.lyricsstyle.com/c/christinaaguilera/index.html Reflection: Why
must we all conceal Voice

in a world where innocence is quickly claimed When
